So, as it turns out, Ardour 8.1 DAW (running ./ardev in gtk2ardour) seems to be quite buggy running jack audio interface and repeatedly crashes on my Arch Linux when I try to make my workflow a tad more complex. Pianoteq works flawlessly on the same audio interface.
I am thinking of using Reaper instead.
Since I have only really used Cubase and FL Studio, I'd like to know, does anyone have any experience with Reaper on Linux and the stability of it?
Reaper works quite decently. I don't know how it runs on Linux though
Tried it for a couple of minutes now, has a learning curve but it is pretty easy to get going once you get your midi up and running. I do miss a good and easy way to place drums though, pattern editor in FL is something else.

I don't know if your work requires you to stay on a specific version, but if you get Reaper through Flatpak instead of the official installer, it's subject to the nature of Flatpak's update system. As far as I know Linux is a first-class citizen for Reaper support, though how it interacts with JACK I'm not too familiar
